Adele E. Griffin SUMMERVILLE, SC - Adele E. Griffin, 80, wife of Hubert "Corkey" Griffin, of Summerville, SC, died Sunday, July 24, 2011 at her residence. Visitation will be held at Parks Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6 until 8 o'clock. Funeral services will be Friday afternoon, July 29, 2011 at Summerville Presbyterian Church at 1 o'clock. Burial will be at West Avon Congregational Cemetery in Avon, CT. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Susan G. Mrs. Griffin was born October 7, 1930 in Poughkeepsie, NY, a daughter of Charles W. Edwards and Loretta C. Wilson Edwards. She was an accountant for Smythe Manufacturing and a member of Summerville Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her husband, Hubert "Corkey" Griffin of Summerville; four stepchildren, Iva Davis, Linda McAlister, and James Griffin, all of CT, and Eddie Griffin of MA; two brothers, James Edwards of Hampton, VA, and Robert Edwards of E.
