Adele Brown Obituary

Adele A. Brown AIKEN, SC - Adele A. Brown, 94, formerly of Charleston, passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022, at Trinity on Laurens Retirement Community, Aiken. Born on September 21, 1927, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, Adele was the daughter of the late Walter George Sails and Frances Yanuska Salis. She was a graduate of the former Wilkes-Barre Township High School, Class of 1946, and was a dedicated Navy wife during her husband's 28-year service. Adele was known for her strong Catholic faith; her love of bowling; her expertise at crocheting; and her warm, welcoming, and fun-loving personality. Her greatest love in life was for her family, and she will be remembered as an adoring wife, mother, and grandma. Preceding Adele in death, in addition to her parents, were her beloved husband of 63 years, Senior Chief Anthony B. Brown, Jr., U.S. Navy, Retired; infant son, Mark A. Brown; granddaughter, Ashlon Kaye Brown; brothers, Walter and William Salis; and sisters, Elizabeth Smith and Ann Keiper. Adele is survived by her son, Scott A. Brown and his wife, Rene Ann, Aiken; grandson, Logan Brown, North Augusta; and her nieces and nephews. Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend Adele's viewing, which will be held on Wednesday, August 03, 2022, from 8:15 to 9:45 AM, at the Wroblewski Funeral Home, Inc., 1442 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort, PA, 18704. Funeral Services will begin at 9:45 AM at the funeral home, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:15 AM in Holy Family Parish, 574 Bennett St., Luzerne, PA 18709. Burial will follow in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp., PA.
