Addie Miller-Wright Summerville - Mother Addie Alaska Miller-Wright, 101, widow of the late Benjamin Wright and a former educator of 42 years with Charleston County Schools, transitioned from earthly being to eternal rest on Sunday, August 4, 2019. The relatives and friends of Mother Addie Alaska Miller-Wright are invited to attend her Celebration of Life Service 11:00 AM, Friday, August 9, 2019 at New First Missionary Baptist Church, 1644 Highway 174, Edisto Island, SC, Reverend A. C. Morrison, Pastor. Interment - New First Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Edisto Island, SC. Viewing will be held Thursday, August 8, 2019 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the mortuary; NO WAKE SERVICE. She will lie-in-state on Friday, August 9, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at the church. Mother Miller-Wright is survived by her nephew, Joe Fyall; niece, Gracie Horne; special children, Leon Hutchinson (Marie), Jerome Mack, Janie Sneed, Hazel Brown-Drinkard and Evelyn Rowe; step-daughter, Verola Manning; and a host of other relatives, family members and friends.
