I don't even know what to say or how to word it I miss you more and more every day dad I know you would be proud of me it hurts knowing that I won't hear the words I'm proud of you son but I know you would be if you were hear it's a huge burden on my heart I think about you every day I just sit there and wonder what it would be like if you were still hear my heart is shattered into a million pieces I'm about graduate college dad I know your watching me from above I have a baby on the way it hurts knowing you won't meet it all I ever wanted was a hug from my daddy but I know one day in heaven I'll get that hug i just feel lost without I see all these people with there dad's and deep down I just want to hear the words (I'm proud of you son) I love you daddy rest peacefully up in heaven I'll see you again one day when God joins us back together bye dad rest high on that mountain...

On this day...the day after Purple Hearts Day, we remember and honor you. Your commitment to family, community and country will never be forgotten.

I served with the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division for 9 months before transferring north at the end of October 2008. I didn't know Adam personally, but I knew his comrades and I know that he was a fine young man. I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Adam since he was 2 years old; his family and my family grew up in eachother's homes.....our weekly taco dinners were great memories for us all. My heart goes out to all of you as does my love. And know, I'm always there for you.

I have had a few soilders (cousins )in my life and my husband , in the military .(Desert Storm) .I saw the paper and Adam's photo , I saw my 4th grader( Adam ; toe head blond with his White shirt and navy blue pants ) The coksm uniform ,Adam right in front of me !!! Although the picture reflected a grown young man ,a husband ,solider and daddy, of dignity and war ,however, I could still see my little Adam, in fourth grade. As a teacher you ALWAYS remember your students, whatever their endevors are.Adam ,like his brother David had alot of energy but enjoyed my art class and of course gave me many smiles and fun as a teacher. As a mom of the 3 boys and 3 girls and a husband ,I really give my sincere thanks and of course PRAYERS to ALL of the family members of Adam's. He will be missed and of course remembered. To Brandy,... as a mom of 6 children: YOU will always be in my heart and prayers everyday. Being a mom who's husband is always working I know how hard it is too be doing the everyday efforts ,but I don't know how it is to be alone all the time, I do know that your children will give you the strength to get you through each day but; as I always tell my CHILDREN it is from the bible :Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strenghens me." I send my deepest sympathy and condolences to the Soldiers of Bravo Battery and Adams Family. Adam was a very good person that I enjoyed serving with immensely. I distinctly remember going on patrol with Adam during OIF III and being thoroughly impressed with the hours of witty banter that him and the his gunner would sling at each other. I was never that sharp with comic relief and he always impressed me with his sense of humor and quick come backs to his fellow brothers. Adam will be missed.

There will always be a special place in our hearts for Adam. Jo and I spent many years watching our sons play soccer and grown into young men we are proud of. The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Spc. Adam M. Wenger our Brother in Arms. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Adam. And to Adam it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the ultimate sacrifice he made in combat while serving the U.S. Army and his country.
