Adam Cromartie Obituary

Adam Quinn Cromartie FAYETTEVILLE, NC - Mr. Adam Quinn Cromartie, 32, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2014, at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. Adam was born on June 11, 1982 in Cumberland County, NC to Peter McKellar Cromartie, Jr. and Dorothy Quinn Cromartie. Adam never complained about anything concerning his condition, no matter how bad he felt. He never met a stranger and every friend was his best friend. He fought Cryptogenic Cirrhosis of the liver courageously and passed peacefully with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Peter McKellar Cromartie, Sr. and his maternal grandfather, Dr. Denis Fabian. Adam is survived by his parents Peter "Mack" McKellar Cromartie, Jr. and Dorothy Quinn Cromartie of Charleston, SC; one brother, Peter "Matt" McKellar Cromartie III and his wife, Blair Anders Cromartie, of Murrell's Inlet, SC, and their daughter McKellar Blair Cromartie; maternal grandmother, Marilyn Fabian Reaves; paternal grandmother, Harriett Salley Cromartie; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is also survived by the love of his life, his red miniature dachshund "Fonzie". The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Sullivan's Highland Funeral Services. The family will also receive friends on Thursday, July 3, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services in the parlor of First Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 3, 2014. at First Presbyterian Church Sanctuary with Dr. John W. Coker, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow at Cross Creek Cemetery #3. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to First Presbyterian Church, 102 Ann St., Fayetteville, NC 28301 or to the Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Road, North Charleston, SC 29406. The family would like to thank Dr. Sapp of Vibra Hospital, Dr. David Hall, of MUSC and the staff for all their many acts of kindness toward our son Adam.
