Ada East Obituary

EAST, Ada Ada Thompson East, 87, of Goose Creek, SC, widow of Lonnie M. East, Jr., died on the afternoon of November 26, 2007 at a nursing facility in North Charleston, SC. She was born on April 10, 1920 in Kingstree, SC one of ten children of Sam L. Thompson and Ellen C. Duke Thompson. She was a charter member of First Baptist of Goose Creek. Ada is survived by her daughter, Mary Ellen Nolan and her fiancé, Russell Pambianco; son, Lonnie M. East, III and his wife Janet K. all of Goose Creek, SC; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Ronnie Lee East; and her brothers and sisters. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 28, 2007, between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 29, 2007 at 11:00 AM in the Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Arthritis Research, Medical University of SC, 171 Ashley Avenue, Charleston, SC 29405.
