Juanita Haynes Obituary

She walked this world with gentle grace, a servant's heart, a caring face. A social worker strong and wise, with compassion shining in her eyes. From the halls of South Carolina State University she rose with pride, prepared to serve, to help, to guide. Yet her greatest lesson, clear and true, was the fruit of the Spirit she faithfully grew.

On Sunday March 15, 2026; God in His infinite wisdom, called daughter Ms. Juanita Haynes, 93, of Ladson, South Carolina from labor to reward.

Celebration of Life for Ms. Haynes will be on Monday March 23, 2026 at 11 AM, Wesley UM Church.

There will be a viewing from 5-7 PM on Sunday March 22, 2026 at Suburban Funeral Chapel.

The most precious memories of Ms. Haynes, will resound in the life of her beloved siblings; Shirley (Louis) Chisolm, Evelyn Haynes, Lois Haynes, and Jeanette Washington, one niece; Alvina (Maurice) Sumter, six nephews; Keith (Levern) Haynes, Trava Chisolm, Raynold Adrain Bush, Raynold Rodney Bush, Serling Chisolm and Montez Sesley. One special cousin; Gena Lawson. A host of other cousins and Friends.

Interment will be in the Highland Memorial Gardens, Summerville, South Carolina
