Zelma Odom Obituary
GRANITEVILLE - Mrs. Zelma Anne Bush Odom, age 49, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023 in Augusta University Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, November 17, 2023 (Viewing from 10AM-11AM) at Mt. Transfiguration Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Clarence Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her father, Hilton Bush and her son, Brandon Odom while leaving to cherish many memories: her devoted husband, Joenathan Odom; her mother, Lestine Bush; daughters, Zina Baisley (Rickey) and Kaylin Odom; sons, Joenathan Odom and Marquell Odom; her brother, Hildon Marcelle Bush; six grandchildren; other relatives. She was a Minister and a nurse and lived a life of servitude. She was a graduate of Columbia College and Western Governor's University.

Heaven has gained a perfect Angel. My fondest memory of Zelma was when we worked at Select Specialty Hospital of Augusta and I was having a challenging day and Zelma pulled me into a room and prayed with me. She was such a loving person and I always admired her. Condolences to the family and know that her life will always be celebrated. I'll miss you Zelma, thank you for being an amazing co-worker. Zelma is known to her RN colleagues from CNVAMC, Spinal Cord Injury area as a sweet and gentle Registered nurse. She was a genuine person with a beautiful smile and kind words.
She leaves a void in our hearts.
