GREAT NECK, NY - Mrs. Willie Mae Blocker Burris Peterson, 96, died, Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at her home in Great Neck, NY.
She was born April 15, 1919 in Aiken, SC to the late Theodore Burris and Elizann Blocker.
She was the wife of the late Willie Peterson. She retired from Great Neck School District as a teacher's aide at the age of 82. She was a former member of Ocean Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Mary Lynn Thames, W. Hempstead NY; Geraldine Williams, Aiken, SC; Diane (Tommy) Saloko, Far Rockaway, NY; Lisa Peterson, Great Neck, NY; Nancy (Howard) Simpkins, Dover Delaware; one son, Willie Peterson Jr., (Mary), Great Neck, NY.
Two children preceded her in death, daughter, Johnnie Mae Bouram, son, Ray Peterson and grandson, Leonard Thames.
She leaves 33 grandchildren, 38 great-grands, four great-great grands and a host of other family members.

God is love as we who believe in and love the Lord amen.

My mom loved the Lord and shared
her love for the Lord with everyone.

Anyone who came in touch with her
she blessed them with the Love she had for our,Lord Jesus Christ amen.
I love the Lord, because of the way
she raised me. Holding on to her unconditional love for the lord.

Mama, would pray every day and night, anytime of the day and night.

She would always remind us, God
is an amazing God let his love light
shine in your hearts and minds.
Praise him love one another keep
God first in your life.

Mama, said and did, pray love the
lord first believe , keep your faith
and trust in the Lord, amen amen.

Mama always did and said, pray on
and wait on the Lord. His time is on
time. Hold on keep the faith in
the Lord,Love one another.

Mama, my strength comes from you and daddy and our heavenly father. I
love and respect all you and the
Lord has and continue to fill my life with. You taught us to honor the
Lord praise him you said, time and
times again. You taught us he is a
loving true God.

Mama, my Irene may the beautiful
spirit of you and our loved ones
continue to surround us all the days of our lives.

And may you're beautiful souls rest
in peace the house of the Lord forever in the name of Jesus Christ amen amen.

I'm going to let the beautiful spirits
surround me in our savior Jesus
Christ amen .

Condolences to each and everyone of you and your extended families. Let the Family say God is God! Yes God is God forever, may his will be done. Lord, we thank you for the long beautiful and fruitful life of our precious mother shared with us. Family, love in truth, carry on where you are assigned. Get right with God and do it now. Grandma, you will definitely be missed! But so much of you lives on in your family, we will forever speak of you in the highest regard and as you taught me I will continue to pray and thank God for the opportunity not to only have been in your presence but to live on and to try to make a similar impact on lives just as you did.
