Willie Craig Obituary
GLOVERVILLE, SC - Mr. Willie Bernard Craig, 71, beloved husband of Mrs. Cathy Elizabeth Hyp Craig, entered into on Wednesday, October 21, 2015, following a brave and courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Born in and a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, he as a son of the late Willie Flanders and Marie Curry Craig. He retired from Columbia
Nitrogen where he was an
Industrial Electrician. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a devoted husband and father who was a great provider for his family. Mr. Craig was a member of the Horse Creek Masonic Lodge #174, AFM and enjoyed playing golf and pool. Most of all however, he enjoyed making people laugh.
In addition to his wife and parents, family members include daughters, Suzanne Lankford and her husband, Jerry, Langley, SC and Michelle Craig Baynham, Aiken, SC and grandchildren, Matthew Lankford and
Brianna Bates.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at 3 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC, with Pastor Bert Baynham officiating. In accordance with his wishes, Mr. Craig will be cremated following the service.
If so desired, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. (www.alz.org)
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 until 3 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Langley, SC

I will always remember the last funeral we went to. It was his uncle's, my great uncle's Haskell Craig. We road together with Uncle Chuck's daughter Vickie. The three of us had a drink before we left the house, after we left the church on the way to the grave site, then of course going back to Uncle Chuck's house. I am sure going to miss both of these wonderful men that I was privileged to have in my life. Lots of love and prayers to my family.
