William McElmurray Obituary
JACKSON, SC - Mr. William "Pete" Walton McElmurray, 76, of Bennett Farm Road, husband of Elizabeth Archer McElmurray, entered into rest on Friday, March 28, 2014 at UPAC of Augusta.
His funeral service was held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at First Christian Church of Jackson with Rev. Michael Riddle, Rev. Marion Britton, and Rev. Gene Sexton officiating. Interment followed in Hammond Cemetery in Beech Island, SC.
Mr. McElmurray was a member of First Christian Church of Jackson and retired from FPL Food. He was also a retired farmer and an avid coon hunter.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Marie McElmurray of Beech Island, SC and Julia M. Waddell and her husband Tyson of Inman, SC; one brother, Tom W. McElmurray of Jackson, SC; and two grandchildren, Brett McRae (Nicole) and Walton Waddell.
The family received friends at the funeral home this evening, Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 5 until 7 PM. The family will be at the residence of Tom & Jean McElmurray (Atomic Road and Baker Street in Jackson).
Pallbearers were Jud Baxley, Rob Crumbley, Michael Chapman, Martin Steed, Pat Sullivan, and John Hogan.
Memorials may be made to First Christian Church of Jackson, 2013 Third Street, Jackson, SC 29831.

I am saddened to hear of Pete's death. Pete and Roy and I were real good friends, and farmer friends. I will be out of town Sunday and will not be able to attend the funeral. My prayers are with the family.
