William Lee Maddox
New Ellenton - Funeral services for William Lee Maddox, 61, of New Ellenton, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Hollow Creek Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Darrell Thompson. Burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm, Tuesday at GEORGE FUNERAL HOME. Pallbearers will be Alan Nichols, Joey Holley, David Miller, Tim Ranew, Dale Lamb and James Gaskins. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rusty Walker, Billy Key, Cliff Bridges and Robert Franklin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hollow Creek Baptist Church Awanas, 270 Independent Blvd., Aiken, SC 29803.
Mr. Maddox passed away at his home on Sunday, March 16, 2014. Born in Augusta, he was a son of the late Wilbur and Erma Smith Maddox. He was a lifetime area resident, was a member of Hollow Creek Baptist Church. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog Fan, loved his grandkids and enjoyed working in the yard. Mr. Maddox retired from Kimberly-Clark, on March 1, 2014, after 29 years of service.
Survivors are his loving wife, Debbie Maddox of New Ellenton; a son, Eric Maddox (Tab) of Beech Island; a daughter, Kasey Franklin (Michael) of New Ellenton; grandchildren, Dylan & Payton Franklin and Kaylee & Gracie Maddox; a sister, Debbie Layne of Savannah; brothers, Frankie Maddox of Johnston, James Maddox of Aiken, Mike & Mark Blackmon; and good friends, Jenny & Billy Key.

Debbie so sorry for your loss. I did not know William had passed away. I worked with William in infant care and he was a good friend and great person. He will be missed by all who knew him. Will never forget the wit he had. My families best to you.
