NORTH AUGUSTA, SC - Dr. William Redding "Bill" Kennedy, III, husband of Charlette Kennedy, entered into rest on Monday, March 6, 2017, at Piedmont Heart Institute.
His graveside service was held at 1:00 PM on Friday, March 10, 2017 in Pineview Memorial Park with Rev. Roy Kiser officiating.
Dr. Kennedy was a strong Christian man who had a great desire to be like David, a man who longed to know God's heart. Bill studied the Bible intensely, always seeking to know who he should be. He was a long time member of First Baptist Church of North Augusta. He will be remembered as having a quiet, gentle spirit and a great sense of humor. His creative spirit showed through his design and creation of woodworking projects and the poems that he wrote to his wife. He was named Optometrist of the Year for Wal-Mart on many occasions, held advanced degrees in four different types of martial arts and participated in many triathlons.
Additional survivors include his daughter, Beth Kennedy Graham (Jeff) of North Augusta; his son, William Charles Kennedy (Malinda) of Bluffton, SC; his brother, Fred M. Kennedy (Jan) of North Augusta and two grandchildren, Caleb Graham and Grace Kennedy.
Honorary pallbearers were Jim Riggsbee, Richard Griffis, Dan Fields, Tom Farris, Richard Goley, Danny Schultze, Gene Robbins, and Eddie Watkins.
