William Buescher III
AIKEN - William August Buescher Ill passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
Bill was born on June 7, 1938 to the late William A. Buescher, Jr. and Florence McCormick Buescher.
Bill spent his formative years in Lake Forest, Illinois. He graduated from Loyola Academy in Chicago and went on to John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio, graduating in 1960. After three years of duty in the Intelligence Corps in the U.S. Army, Bill became a salesman in the paper industry on the East Coast and transferred to Northern California in the mid-70's. In 1979, Bill changed industries and entered distributor sales, working for Anheuser-Busch both in California and Chicago.
Bill married Margaret (Peggy) in 1987, and they enjoyed their life together to the fullest. Bill had a personality that attracted many people to him. He was generous, funny, and very loyal to his many friends and family. He had a deep love of music, especially blues, jazz and both classic & contemporary rock. He also collected original artworks from various artists across the country, all while having a deep disdain for Walmart and general stupidity.
Bill and Peggy retired to Aiken, SC in 2016. Bill is survived by his wife Peggy, sister Florence Darien, son William A. Buescher IV, daughters D' Arce Bolado (Matt), Heide Stevenson (Patrick Nichols), and Jennifer Finn (Sean) and his 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
A donation to his memory can be made to Misericordia, Heart of Mercy, 6300 North Ridge Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60660.
And for those of you who knew Bill well, raise a Bud Light in his honor tonight.
