Warren Griffin Obituary

Warren Griffin
NORTH AUGUSTA, SC - Funeral Services for Mr. Warren Griffin, 73, who entered into rest July 1, 2015, will be conducted Monday morning at 11 o'clock from Grace United Methodist Church. Rev. James D. Dennis, Jr., Dr. T. Joseph Lusk and Rev. Craig Baynham officiating. Interment in Pineview Memorial Park.
Mr. Griffin was a life-long resident of North Augusta and a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of North Augusta Senior High and Augusta College and was the owner of Warren Griffin Realty. Mr. Griffin was active in the Sertoma, Optimist and Lions Clubs as well as the North Augusta Board of Realtors. Additionally, Mr. Griffin worked at the Augusta National Golf Club during the Masters Tournament for 52 years. He loved football and was a member of the 1958 North Augusta High School State Championship team. Mr. Griffin coached football and softball for the North Augusta Parks and Rec as well as several area schools including North Augusta High School.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years Sandra L. Griffin; three daughters, Kelly (Stephen) Partridge, Amy (John) Drew and Jacqueline (Kevin) McCarthy, all of North Augusta; a son, Kristopher (Shannon) Angell, North Augusta, SC; a brother, Stephen (Nancy) Griffin, Charlottesville, VA; eight grandchildren, Brookelyn, Fallyn, Kyle, Kaylyn, Rivers, Bentley,
Karson and Parker.
Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the 1958 North Augusta High School State Championship Football Team, Charles Coleman, Steve Whitt and Robert Hobbs. Active Pallbearers will be Kevin Gillian, Scott Gibbs, Chris Barnes, Banks Mumford, Jim Mumford and Kyle Saverance.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Sunday afternoon from 4 until 6.

Dear Sandra and other family members:
I first me Warren 40 years ago. Since then we have worked together, played together,and had many visits, (often in eating establishments) together. Over the years he has been one of my closest friends. When one was fortunate enough to become a friend with Warren, he had a friend for life.
My prayer is that the Lord will comfort you in your grief as only He can.
