GRANITEVILLE, SC - Mr. Warnell Gregory, age 95, of Graniteville, S.C., husband of the late Roxie Addy Gregory and son of the late J. C. and Lula Corley Gregory, entered into eternal rest on May 27, 2015.
He is survived by a daughter, Linda Barbee of Savannah, Ga.; sons, Charles (Sheryl) Gregory of Graniteville, Jerry (Emily) Gregory of Edgefield and Dean Gregory of Graniteville; a sister, Myrtie Ashley of Aiken; a brother, Clifford (Penny) Gregory of Clearwater; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was born on Brooklet, Ga. but has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He retired from Graniteville Company and was a US Army Veteran having bravely served his country during World War II. His family stated that he was a loving and devoted father, brother and grandfather. They further stated that he just adored his children and grandchildren. He shall be greatly missed by his family and many friends; however, death is not the end, as he shall live on forever in the hearts of his loved ones. He has finished his life's journey and is now at peace with his Maker, the Lord Jesus Christ.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Friday evening, May 29th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A service, celebrating his life, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home, Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Tony Rhodes officiating. The interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Park in Aiken, S.C. The Pallbearers will be Lent Buchan, Jamie Buchan, Chris Gregory, Anthony Gregory, Jamie Gregory and Vito Franco.
