Walter Brown Obituary

G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Mr. Walter Brown, Jr. who entered into rest September 9, 2025. Mr. Brown was the son of the late Walter, Sr. and Annie Ruth Brown. He was a 1976 graduate of Ridge Spring-Monetta High School and a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. He retired from the City of Aiken as a Parks and Recreation Groundskeeper. Survivors include three sisters, Annette Brown, Geneva (Timothy) Gomillion and Eartha (Wendell) Herrin all of Ridge Spring, SC; two brothers, Michael (Connie) Brown of Ridge Spring, SC and Arthur (Lenecia) Brown of Charleston, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 13, 2025 at G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary Chapel. Professional Care has been entrusted to G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary-Aiken.
