Virgil PACK Obituary
News Death Notice
PACK, Jr., Virgil Stanton 62 of Middletown, OH died at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, OH on Thursday, November 26, 2015 due to a motor vehicle accident. Virgil was a 1971 Elyria High School graduate. He served in the United States Navy from 1971-1977. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer at AK Steel in Middletown. He was an avid sports fan, loved his Cincinnati Bengals, Reds, Ohio State Buckeyes, and he never laid eyes on a golf course he didn't like! Mr. Pack is survived by his children Priscilla Standen of Elyria, Virgil Pack III of Columbus, Crystal Pack of Elyria, Melinda Christy (Luke) of Elyria, and Amanda Pack of Columbus; sisters Carol Stringer of Elyria, Virginia Pack of Elyria, Robbin Songer of Elyria, Janet Pack of Elyria; brothers William A. Pack of Elyria and Thomas A. Pack of Elyria; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Virgil S. Pack, Sr. and Mary V. Pack (nee Martin); brother Roy A. Pack. Friends may call 4-6pm Friday, December 4 at Busch Funeral Home, 114 Second Street, Elyria followed by a Memorial Service at 6pm with Military Honors performed by the U.S. Navy and VFW Post #1079 of Elyria. Pastor Ryan Hurd, Fresh Wind Church of Amherst, will officiate. Relatives and friends are welcome to wear their Ohio State apparel. www.buschcares.com
