Warrenville - Mrs. Verna Brabham Proctor, 91, of Warrenville, SC, beloved wife of seventy-four years to Mr. Julian Proctor, entered into rest in the comfort of her home, under the kind and compassionate care of Trinity Hospice, on Monday, January 7, 2019.
Born in Allendale, SC and a resident of Aiken County, SC, most of her life, she was a daughter of Hallie B. and Clara Elizabeth Ferguson Brabham. She retired from the Graniteville Company and was a member of Howlandville Baptist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Proctor were inseparable and were very well known for the Confederate Roses and Angel Trumpets that they grew. She enjoyed sewing crocheting. More than anything however, the enjoyed making holiday crafts and ornaments.
In addition to her husband and parents, family members include her children and their spouses, Sandra P. and Robert Jones and Steve and Monica Proctor, all of Warrenville, SC; sister, Shirley Johnson, Augusta, GA; grandchildren, Angie Jones, Bryan Jones and Terri McAlister and great-grandchildren, Stephanie Jones, Westin Bussey and Elijah McAlister.
The family will greet friends on Wednesday, January 9, 2019, beginning at 2 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy., Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 3 o'clock in the chapel. Dr. Ronald Hasty will officiate. Interment will follow in the Historic Graniteville Cemetery, Graniteville, SC.
It has been requested that memorials be made to the Howlandville Baptist Church 316 Howlandville Rd. Warrenville, SC.
