Ulysses Phillips Obituary

G. L. Brightharp & Sons announces the transition of Mr. Ulysses Phillips who entered into rest October 16, 2025. Mr. Phillips, a native of Pitt County, North Carolina, worked as a Patient Care Assistant at Charlie Norwood VAMC. He was a United States Navy Veteran. He attended Mt. Transfiguration Baptist Church for a number of years. Survivors include a daughter, Shaun Phillips Cofer; three grandsons, John Eric Cofer, Aaron Phillip Cofer and Christopher Isaac Cofer; three devoted nieces, Cathy Callender, Demetra Stevenson and Jewell Nobles; significant other, Hattie Lott; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Friday, October 24, 2025 at Mt. Transfiguration Baptist Church with the Rev. Clarence D. Hill officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 2:00 pm until 6:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Professional Services are under the care of G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary-North Augusta.
