TRAVIS BROCK Obituary
AIKEN, S.C. - Travis Hampton Brock, 86, died Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Self Regional Medical Center, Greenwood, SC.
Born December 26, 1927 in Union, SC, Mr. Brock was a son of the late Thomas and Lily Barnett Brock. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in World War II. Travis was first married to the late Isabell Brock and then to the late Mavis Brock. He retired from DuPont at the Savannah River Plant. Mr. Brock was a member of the New Ellenton Masonic Lodge and had lived in Jonesville, SC for the last 20 years before moving to Plum Branch, SC to live with his son.
Survivors include a son, Melvin Hampton (Dana) Brock, Plum Branch; two granddaughters, Kristi (Neil) Arbaugh, Aiken, Megan (Tony) Blake, Charleston; two step-grandchildren, Pressley and Dannaca Bottoms; five great-grandchildren, Ayden and Easton Arbaugh, Elizabeth, Mariah Claire and Juliet Blake; a brother, Donald (Mable) Brock, Union, SC; three step-daughters, Susan, Janice and Jill.
The family will receive friends Saturday morning at 10 o'clock at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home followed by the funeral service in the chapel at 11 o'clock. The Rev. Jackie Connelly will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Paul United Methodist Church Cemetery, New Ellenton with Military Honors and Masonic Rites. Pallbearers will be Tommy Brock, Neil Arbaugh, Rick Crosby, Eric Crosby and Daniel Cannella.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
