Timothy Edward Stone, Sr.
Aiken - Aiken, SC?A celebration of life service for Mr. Timothy Edward Stone, Sr., age 56, will be held 3:00 pm Sunday August 1, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Montmorenci with Rev. John Yoder officiating. A private interment will be held at a later date. Mr. Stone was the beloved husband of 21 years to Mrs. Amy Johnson Stone and the son of the late Mr. Thomas Stone and the late Mrs. Jewel Chavis Powell. He was a native of Columbia, SC and had made Aiken his home most of his life. Mr. Stone grew up in First Baptist Church of Montmorenci, but eventually started attending St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Aiken. For the past 51 years, he did trade work for drywall. Mr. Stone was associated with Stone Sheetrock from 1984-2004 and was the owner and operator from 2004-2017. For the past 5 years, he worked for Ultimate Drywall. His hobbies included fishing, Dallas Cowboys Football, and attending ZZ Top Concerts. Additional survivors include: two sons Dustin Timothy Stone, Aiken and Timothy Edward Stone II, Aiken; three daughters Amber (Mike) Mosley, Aiken, Annabeth Stone, Aiken, and Aliza Stone, Aiken; two brothers Joel Hendrix, Columbia and Wayne Powell, Columbia; six sisters Sandy Stone, Aiken, Rita Hendrix, Gastonia, NC, Sandra Derringer, Stonerock, GA, Sue Wall, PA, Shawn Hendrix, Greensboro, NC, and Tracy Langston Smith, Asheville, NC; and four grandchildren. Mr. Stone was preceded in death by his Goddaughter Pamela Fields. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to the Aiken County Animal Shelter and Aiken Animal Control 333 Wire Rd Aiken, SC 29801.
