BEECH ISLAND, SC - The Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Timothy Wilson Ray, 53, who entered into rest July 13, 2015, will be conducted Thursday morning at 11 o'clock from Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Reverend Jacob Joseph, CMI Celebrant. Interment in Westover Memorial Park. Final Prayers and Commendation in Westover Memorial Park.
Mr. Ray was native of Fayetteville, North Carolina, having made Beech Island his home for the past 20 years. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church and was a Plant Engineer/Craftsman with Trinity Hospital of Augusta. Mr. Ray loved spending time with his family, fishing with his sons, wood crafting and raising farm animals. He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Ray and his father, Thurman Ray.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Dorie Ray; a son, Timothy Ray, Beech Island, SC; his mother, Virginia Perkins, Fayetteville, NC; a brother, James "Buddy" Ray, Jackson, SC; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Janie and Jeff Carroll, Lumber Bridge, NC and Wanda and Warren Eubanks, Clarks Hill, SC; a number of nieces and nephews.
The Vigil Service will be held Wednesday evening at 6:00 followed by the visitation until 8.
Pallbearers will be Timothy Ray, Stephen Hutto, Robby O'Hagan, Kyle Eubanks, Mike Boone and Bill Welsh.
Memorials may be made to the Trinity Foundation, Inc. 2260 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, GA 30904 or to MCG Children's Medical Center, 1120 15th Street, Room BA8270, Attn: Office of Development, Augusta, GA 30912.
