Theresa 'Terri' Lindsay
AIKEN - Theresa "Terri" Nelsen Lindsay, age 74, of Aiken, SC, passed away at her home on Sunday, April 14, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. Terri was born on January 19, 1950, in Aiken, SC, the beloved daughter of the late George Howard Nelsen and Lucy Barrington Nelsen.
Terri is survived by her devoted husband, John Norman Lindsay, and her loving son, Brian Bridgers (Tammy) of North Augusta, SC. She is also survived by her stepdaughter, Sarah Guay (Andy) of Kailua, Hawaii, and stepson, Eric Lindsay (Sook) of San Antonio, TX. Terri leaves behind her cherished sister, Georgeann Nelsen of Aiken, SC, and half-brother, Bob Nelsen (Janet) of Bonita Springs, FL. She was predeceased by a half-brother, Ron Nelsen of Maiden, NC. Her memory will be forever cherished by her grandchildren; Grayson, Hampton, Henry, Zoey, and Griffin.
Terri was a lifelong resident of Aiken County, SC, with brief residencies in Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Newhaven, Cumbria, UK where she touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness. She attended LBC High School and in her early adult career, she worked at the Dental School at the Medical College of Georgia before dedicating the next 27 years of service at the Savanah River Site in Aiken, SC, where she eventually retired.
A faithful member of Saint John's United Methodist Church in Aiken, SC, Terri found solace and community in her faith.
Her life will be celebrated in a service officiated by The Reverand Dr. Tim McClendon at Shellhouse Funeral Home on Hayne Avenue in Aiken, SC, on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. The family will receive friends starting at 1 pm, with the service to immediately follow at 2 pm in the chapel. Interment will be held privately at a later date.

Terri's kindness, love, and strength will forever be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by family, friends, and all who were touched by her.
