Terry Mathis Obituary
NORTH AUGUSTA, SC - Mr. Terry Wayne Mathis, Sr., 69, of North Augusta, SC, entered into rest in the comfort of his home, on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, with his wife of forty-seven years, Mrs. Nancy Ann Crim Mathis, at his side.
Born in Glascock County, GA and a resident of Aiken County, SC, since 1979, he was a son of the late Willie Pierce and Callie Mae Black Mathis. A Vietnam Veteran, he proudly served his country in the in United States Army. He attended Immanuel Baptist Church and retried from Kimberly-Clark after thirty-five years of service. Terry enjoyed fishing, hunting, cutting grass on his riding lawn mower, going to turkey shoots and shooting pool.
In addition to his wife and parents, family members include his sons, Terry W. Mathis, Jr., North Augusta, SC and the late Christopher Lee Mathis, Sr. siblings, Jerri Turner and her husband, Charles, Goose Creek, SC and Larry Joe Mathis and his wife, Monica, Augusta, GA; grandchildren, Christopher Lee Mathis, Jr., Brandon Anthony Mathis, Seth Aliczander Mathis, Caleb Chandler Mathis and Kullen Stark Mathis and a great-grandson, Carson Lee Mathis.
In accordance with his wishes, Terry will be cremated and no services will be held. However, friends are welcome to call at the residence.
It has been requested that memorials in memory of Terry be made to Immanuel Baptist Church. (www.immanuel-baptist.us)

Although my brother is not here on Earth to go fishing with, he will always be in the boat with me in my heart. If the fish are not biting I will sit and talk to him as we always did. Wish we had more time together but, I know he is in a better place. Love you bro!

Nancy and Terry Jr. ,i think you know how sorry i am for your loss.Nancy, you made a good couple,i could tell how much you loved him and him you.Terry,it was awesome to see how close the two of you were.i can picture him in heaven ,saying,"Rack em up!make it 9 ball this time" love you both,,David Jones.
