Terence 'Terry' Buyers
NORTH AUGUSTA - Terence "Terry" Stephen Buyers, 71, passed away Friday, July 14, 2023 surrounded by loved ones.
Terry was born in Cleveland, OH, the son of the late Gene and Dorothy Ripich Buyers. He briefly served in the US Navy, attended the University of Arizona, and went on to become a jack-of-all-trades working as a mechanic. He was a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation, and the Society of Creative Anachranism, SAC, where he was known as "Taras". His hobbies included hunting, fishing, collecting unique antiques, and gardening (especially caring for bonsai trees). His most special interest was his family, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Terry is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth J. Rogers, N. Augusta, SC, and Suzanne (William) Hepler, Jackson, SC, Chelsea Macneil, Boston, IN; his son, Johnathan Buyers, Graniteville, SC; grandchildren, Karson Rogers, Leah Hepler, Elijah Hepler, and Kyrie Ellers; his sister, Dori (Scott) Murray-Harris, Norton Shores, MI; his niece, Juliana Murray-Harris, Norton Shores, MI; and sister in law, Karen (Hank) Spivey, Aiken.
A Celebration of Life for Terry will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 19, 2023, in the Shellhouse Funeral Home chapel. The family will then receive friends until 3:30 PM.
