Kevin Groce Obituary

Kevin D. Groce Sr. was born on May 29th, 1971, in Columbus, Ohio, and passed away on September 12, 2025.

Born to the late Ronald Shepard and Diane Groce, Kevin grew up with a strong sense of family. He was a proud graduate of East High School, where he was among the first classes to complete the ROTC program.

Kevin was a devoted father to Kevin (Brentay) Jr., Brandon, Glenn “Shane,” Ja’Bauri, Vonetta, and Glennise. He was a loving grandfather to Kayiden “Eat-Eat,” Kayilen “Little Cupcake,” and Kevin “Hotdog.” He is survived by his significant other, Jami Turner; his mother, Diane; Pam White; his siblings Janice, Carolyn, Troy, James “Man,” and Justin; his close friends Keith Sullivan, Stuart Sumpter, Ms. Lynn, Rhonda Sharp; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers Robert and Rodney Daryel “DK”.

A true entrepreneur, Kevin owned and operated the Diva Den and Groce Remodeling. Beyond business, he had a heart for giving—organizing holiday meals for the homeless and providing school supplies for children. Kevin was known for his generosity, determination, and for making everyone feel like family.

His life will be remembered for his big heart, his love for his mother, children, grandchildren, and his unwavering dedication to helping others.

As Kevin would always say, “Talk to you.”
