Steve ran the sound for the Aiken Women's Heart Board productions for more than 30 years, the Hopelands Gardens summer concert series, at St. Thaddeus and at many other concerts and productions.
He enjoyed rose gardening and photography of his flowers and of sunrise scenes. He was known for the greeting cards he produced containing these photos.

We will miss Steve dearly. Grand-doctor Peterson was the best grandfather and his kindness, generosity, and love of his family will never be forgotten. He and Ginny touched so many lives and knowing they are reunited is so heartwarming. They were angels on Earth, and now they both are angels in Heaven. God's peace.

On reading that Steve would not be on earth to hug and say ...I love you brudda', it's been a while since I've seen you... today my heart fell as far as ones heart can drop. If you knew Steve then you knew a friend, always there and available, smart and witty, and you would also know that GOD KNOWS and counted on him too.
We were blessed for a while my friends, with Steve.

Oh how I loved Ginny and Steve Peterson. They had a significant impact on my spiritual life, from the very first time I met them at a Cursillo in the 1990s and on into the 21st century. Loving, faithful, and beautiful people.

I will see you both again, Ginny and Steve. Thank you for being there to greet me when I arrived all those years ago for the first time at Camp Gravatt.

Such a Phenomenal Man.
Foster Bliss and the Boys.
God saw his getting tired and a cure was not to be so he put His arms around him And whispered "Come to me"
With tearful eyes we watched him as he slowly slipped away and through we loved him dearly we couldn't make him stay.
His Golden heart stopped beating his tired hands put to rest God broke our hearts to prove to us He only take the Best.
Eartha Rogers!!

Dear Foster, Bliss, and boys,

The world is a sadder place without Steve. Our consolation is that he is now home and in the living arms of God.. I will be praying for you all.
