Stanley Rogers Obituary

Aiken – Mr. Stanley E. "Stan" Rogers, 71, of Aiken, SC, beloved husband of Linda Adams Rogers, entered into rest on Thursday, November 11, 2021, in the comfort of his home.
Born in Thomaston, GA and a resident of Aiken County, SC, most of his life, he was a son of the late Starling E. Rogers and the late Estelle Thomas Cato. He proudly and with honor served his county in the United States Marine Corps. Following his service in the Marine Corps, he began his career as a Truck Driver and quoting Stan, "Thirty-five years' accident free." Stan enjoyed riding his Harley, attending the Full Gospel Redemption Center and rescuing dogs with Linda. One of the many things that Stan was known for was bragging about his daughters and grandbabies, to anyone unfortunate enough to be in earshot.
In addition to his wife and parents, family members include his children, Missy Ropp, Loganville, GA, Penny Fell, Trenton, SC, Isabeal Evans and her husband, Anthony, Converse, TX and Ramona Hampton and her husband, Eric, Savannah, GA; siblings, Loraine Kirkland, Clearwater, SC, Mae Eubanks, North Augusta, SC, Gail Sanders and her husband, Terry, Windsor, SC, Jackie Rogers and his wife, Carolyn, Pineview, GA and Darla Todd and her husband, Gary, Clearwater, SC and grandchildren, Kursti Ropp, David Ropp, Jr., Kevin Hughes, Amanda Hampton, Olivia Hampton, Elisabeth Hampton, Eric Hampton, Jr., Cameron Evans and Anthony Evans, III, a nephew, Joey Smith and his wife Monica, who Stan loved as a son and his name sake, his great-nephew, Bryton Stanley Smith.
The family will greet friends on Saturday, November 13, 2021, beginning at 1 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 3 o'clock in the chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Brother Chris Williams and Sister Cynthia Randall will officiate. Kursti Ropp will share memories of her Papa. Interment will follow in the Historic Graniteville Cemetery, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be David Ropp, Jr., Joey Smith, Bryton Smith, Khapie Nunez, Patrick Eaves and Kevin Hughes.
