Stanley Morris Obituary

Mr. Stanley Herbert Morris, 80, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 11th, 2025. Born on April 23, 1945, in Old Fort, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Erby and Elda Morris. Stanley was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Peggy Jo Morris, with whom he shared 61 wonderful years of marriage before her recent passing. In addition to his wife and parents, Stanley was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Rebecca Schrader (Mark) of Knoxville, TN, and his son, Kenneth Morris (Tammy) of Graniteville, SC. Stanley was a proud grandfather to Shaunacie, Stephee, Brookelynn, Matthew, and Tristan, and great-grandfather to Caden, Paisley, Gracie, and Madison. He is also survived by his two sisters; as well as a special "daughter" Debbie Dill. A lifelong resident of Knoxville, Tennessee, Stanley spent many years of his career as supervisor at the Thompson & Howard Grocery. A man of faith, he was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church. Stanley raised chickens a majority of his life, a hobby that brought him joy. He was an avid hunter in his younger years, as well as an avid sports fan. He had a particular love for football and baseball- cheering on the Washington Redskins and New York Yankees. His love for his family was evident in all he did, and he was known as a wonderful dad and the hardest working man by those who knew him best. His children described him as "Paul Bunyan" given his strength and love for hard work. He will be truly missed by his family and friends.
