SSG. Dewey Howard Toole, Jr.
Graniteville - SSG. Dewey Howard Toole, Jr., 64, of Graniteville, SC, United States Army Retired, husband of twenty-two years to Frances Albright Toole, entered into rest on Sunday, September 12, 2021.
Born in and a resident of Aiken County, SC, most of his life, he was a son of the late Dewey Howard Toole, Sr. and the late Cozette Hill Scott. SSG. Toole proudly served his country in the United States Army for twenty-one years. He had formerly been employed by the Warren Division of the Graniteville Company and at the time of his death he was employed by Superior Maintenance and Piping. He was an active member of the Midland Valley Community Church of the Nazarene. Dewey enjoyed a round of golf, hunting, painting, drawing and going to the mountains.
In addition to his wife and parents, family members include his children and their spouses, Wanda and Gary Mixon, Cornersville, TN, Dewey Howard Toole, III, Atlanta, GA, William and Samantha Lott, Graniteville, SC and Matthew and Stephanie Lott, Graniteville, SC; siblings and their spouses, Helen and Ricky Woodward, Bath, SC, Lyn and Donna Toole, Warrenville, SC and Robert and Tonya Toole, Ridge Spring, SC and grandchildren, Marilyn Nicole Toole, James Lloyd Chalker, Jr., Anthony Lane Chalker, William Paul Caleb Lott, Casey Elijah Toole, Olivia Grace Lott, Jacob Solomon Lott, Matthew Ryan Lott and Traelynn Lee McLaughlin.
The family will greet friends on Thursday, September 16, 2021, from 5:30 until 8 o'clock at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway Graniteville, SC. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021, at 2 o' clock at Midland Valley Community Church of the Nazarene. Pastor David Gallimore will officiate. Private interment will take place in the Toole Family Cemetery, Beech Island, SC.
