AUGUSTA, GA - Funeral Services for Mrs. Shirley F. Lawrence, 76, who entered into rest February 19, 2015, will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Pastor Joe Lennon officiating. Interment in Jackson Memorial Park.
Mrs. Lawrence was a native of Augusta, Georgia and a devoted member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Augusta. She was a loving mother who worked faithfully at the food pantry at her church. Mrs. Lawrence retired from the Kendall Corporation with 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim D. Lawrence, Sr.
Survivors include a daughter, Dixie L. Hardy (Rodney), Cullman, AL; a son, Jim D. Lawrence, Jr. (Lea), North Augusta, SC; a sister, Brenda Chapman, Warren, MI; a brother, Roger Barnett (Dorothy), Rochester Hills, MI; five grandchildren, Coleman Hardy (Jennifer), Jessica Sasser (Tyler), Stephen, Alec, Kristin and Ryan Lawrence; three great-grandchildren, Kinsley, Elliot and Malachi Hardy; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home this Saturday afternoon from 4 until 6.
