Sarah Whitehead Obituary

Mrs. Sarah Frances Whitehead, 89, of Beech Island, SC, entered into rest peacefully on Saturday, January 31, 2026, while in the comfort of the home of her nephew, Larry Webb.

Born in Statham, GA, and a resident of the area for the past forty-three years, she is the daughter of the late Hyden A. and Sarah Casper Whitehead.

Miss Sarah was a member of Morningside Baptist Church, Augusta, GA. She was happiest when she read her Bible daily, did yard work, told jokes and putting puzzles together. She was often quoted as saying, "The Key to Life is Laughter'. Miss Sarah had the memory of an elephant. She simply never forgot anything.

Miss Sarah never had any children of her own. However, she loved her niece and nephews as if they were her own children.

Along with her nephew Larry, she is loved and will be missed by her nieces and nephews, Myra Whitehead, Jerry (Barb) Webb, and Lloyd Whitehead; her great-niece, Amy (John) Webster; her great-nephew, Andy Webb great-niece, Lydia Webb; as well as several great-great-nieces and nephews.

Also preceding her in death were a sister, Geneva Webb; nieces, Susan Lazenby and Marcia Savage; nephew, Donald Webb; and great-nephew, Doug Webb.

In honoring her wishes, Miss Sarah was cremated; her cremated remains will be interred in Statham, GA.
