Sarah Strength Obituary
GILBERT - Services for Sarah Rose Strength, 88, will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 7, 2018, at Rehoboth UMC. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rehoboth UMC 939 Holley Ferry Road Leesville, SC 29070. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel, is assisting the family.
Mrs. Strength passed away Friday, September 21, 2018. Born in Smithfield, NC she was the daughter of the late John L. and Lula Jerrigan Hill. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church of Tallassee, AL, attended Rehoboth UMC of Leesville and retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass.
Surviving are her daughter, Peggy Rose (Harman) Price; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer Clark, Sherry Wright, Melissa Garner, Jessica Cunning, Jacob Smith, and Alicia Stanfield; 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Tim Rose and Robert Strength; daughter, Betty Jo "BJ" Christopher; brothers, Thomas, David, Joel and Ray Hill, and sisters, Clara Rose, Elizabeth Stewart, and Lena Ward.
