AIKEN, SC - A celebration of life service for Mrs. Sara Eidson Garvin Setzer, age 82, will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, on October 17, 2015 at Lighthouse Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Ayers and Rev. Marion Britton officiating. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Park. Mrs. Setzer will be placed in the church one hour prior to services.
Mrs. Setzer entered into rest Monday, October 5, 2015 in Aiken County. She was a native of Williston, SC and had made Aiken County her home for most of her life. She was the wife of 19 years to her second husband, the late Mr. Paul Setzer and 38 years to her first husband, the late Mr. Clarence Rish (C.R.) Garvin. Mrs. Setzer was the daughter of the late Mr. George Carroll Eidson and the late Mrs. Lillian Porter Eidson. She was a retired general merchandise manager/ cashier for Winn Dixie, North Aiken Store on York Street with over 29 years of service.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Garvin (Willie) Holder, Aiken, Cathy Garvin (Bill) Bryant, Aiken; one son, Glen Rish Garvin, Aiken; six grandchildren, Van (Debbie) Holder, Shannon Caylor, Branson (Deidra) Wilson, Brandy (Lennie) George, Chris Bryant, and Michelle Bryant Boatright; fifteen great-grandchildren, Lauren & Jaxson Caylor, Anzleigh Jury, Taylor, Hunter, Rachel and Blake Wilson, James, Kaylee, and Christian Bryant, Lyndin and Zoey George, Jacob Bryant-Martin, Allen and Brandon Garvin; one sister Louise Chitty, St George, SC. Mrs. Setzer was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy (Dot) Matthews, Jean Toole, Carolyn Clark; two brothers, Walter (Bucky) Eidson, Hammond Eidson.
Pallbearers will be Van Holder, Branson Wilson, Lennie George, Hunter Wilson, Chris Bryant, James Bryant, and Johnny Jury.
