Sara Blackmon Obituary
AIKEN - Sara A. Blackmon (Seigler) passed on to the loving hands of God on October 17, 2022 from the comfort of her home with family in her birth County of Aiken, SC.
Sara loved gardening and nature, was a retired CNA nurse, and loved her grandchildren.
Sara was one of nine children born to Earl and Bertha Seigler; she was predeceased by her son Michael Todd Seigler; Sara has surviving children Gary Seigler of Martinez, GA, Ronald Wadford, Jr. of Aiken, SC, Troy Wadford (Nancy) of Aiken, SC, Kandi DeMaria (Chris) of Floyd, VA and Merci Dropps (Michael) of Aiken, SC; also eight siblings Rebecca Gell Workentine, Victoria Reynolds (deceased), Sue Hallman, Rose Lockhart, Kathi Pilz, Herman Seigler, Lester Seigler and Allen Seigler (deceased). Sara has 15 grandchildren. Tim Wadford, Travis Wadford, Garret Seigler, Haley Jarvis (Will), Chasity Lynch, Phoenix Jasmin, Jack DeMaria, Sofia DeMaria, Clementine DeMaria, Milo DeMaria, Nicole Seigler, Nick Weisert, Roland Reeves, Ian Reeves, and Cora Dropps.
There will be a memorial service at 715 E. Pine Log Rd. at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home on Saturday, October 22nd at 2p.m. and visitation afterward to pay respect.

Sarah was a spirited, strong willed woman. She was my mom´s sister, my aunt. She always said "I love y´all with all my heart!" And she did. She endured a lot during her lifetime. It wasn´t easy and the struggle was hard. But she hung in there and she fought as hard as she knew how, until she couldn´t fight anymore. There are so many childhood memories. I treasure the moments that we spent with her as a child, thankful that my mom made sure we knew her side of the family. Godspeed, Aunt Sarah. We love you with all of our hearts too.
