Ruth LaFreniere Obituary

Ruth C. LaFreniere SCOTIA - Ruth C. LaFreniere, 94, passed away Wednesday evening November 15th at Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Scotia. Born in Schenectady, Ruth was the daughter of the late William and Emma (Palmer) Crawn. A homemaker, Ruth was an avid reader and devoted to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Predeceased in 1986 by her husband of 47 years, Albert B. LaFreniere who she married on May 13, 1939. Ruth is survived by her children; Mary Alexson (Albert) of Altamont, Lenore Countermine (late Richard) of Rotterdam, Karen Countermine (Late Robert) of Schenectady, Elaine Kenfield of Delanson, Albert Lafreniere (Rosemary) of Ballston Spa, William LaFreniere (Bonnie) of Fultonville, Jeffrey LaFreniere (Sherry) of Schenectady and Bryan LaFreniere (Carolyn) of Galway, a sister;Stella Shafer of Mayfield, 28 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Sunday November 19th from 6 to 8 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave. Schenectady, NY. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday morning November 20th at 11 am. Interment in Viewland Cemetery, Rotterdam, NY In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to Breast Cancer Research.
