Randy Stork Obituary

Randy Dale Stork, cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, passed away on August 29, 2025, at his home in Muldoon, Texas. Born on March 6, 1958, in La Grange, Texas, Randy's life was a testament to his love for his family and dedication to his community.

Randy was a proud graduate of Round Top Carmine High School in 1976, where he formed lifelong friendships. After graduation, he dedicated 33 years of service to the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA), where he was respected for his work ethic and he loved him a game of lunchroom dominoes with his friends. Randy's wisdom and generosity were evident in both his professional and personal life. He was always ready to lend a hand or offer a word of advice if you asked for it.

A devout Christian, Randy was baptized and confirmed at the Waldeck Lutheran Church as a child.

Randy's interests and skills were as vast as his heart. He was an artisan with an ability to build and fix anything, a talent he took great pride in. He was a highly skilled carpenter, welder and had an uncanny ability as a mechanic. His love for his German heritage shone through in his cooking, especially in his legendary Thanksgiving dressing, which he jokingly threatened to retire from making each year but inevitably prepared because he knew it wouldn't be Thanksgiving without it. Randy's sausage-making was a family affair and every winter his smokehouse was filled with sausage and jerky. His bar-b-que was second to none, and he made the very best German pickles. He shared all of these special gifts with his family.

One could usually find Randy bailing hay, working on fences, driving around in his ranger, dozing roads, feeding cows, shredding his road frontage to keep it looking pristine, or a number of other things around the property.

Hunting trips to Colorado and South Texas were treasured times for Randy, spent with his beloved friends who were like family. These adventures were not only a hobby but also a reflection of his deep appreciation for the land and wildlife.

In Muldoon, Randy was instrumental in the opening of the Muldoon Museum and Muldoon Mercantile building, contributing his time and talents to preserving the history of the community. His involvement with the Buckners Creek Wildlife Management Association further showcased his commitment to environmental conservation and stewardship. He also loved participating in the Muldoon Fire Department auctions, always crafting something special to auction off.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Alice Stork, his brother Ronnie Stork, his father-in-law Harvey Smith, and his nephew Ron Stork. His legacy continues through his loving wife, Kelly Stork; his mother-in-law, Judy Smith; his son, Richard (Amber) Stork; his daughter, Casey (Blake) Ellis; and his adored grandchildren, Caden Stork, Layton Hemann, Nolan Ellis, and Faryn Ellis. He also leaves behind his sister, Sharon (James) Elias; brother, Rickie (Sherell) Stork; sister-in-law, Charlene Stork; and numerous nieces and nephews who held a very special place in his heart.

Randy's life was a journey of love, hard work, and dedication. His memory will be cherished and kept alive by the many lives he touched. If you would like to make a donation in his memory in lieu of flowers, you can make them to the Carmine Show Fund or the Muldoon Fire Department.
