Roger Rodgers Obituary
Aiken - Roger Dale Rodgers, 71, husband of Marsha Moates Rodgers, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021.
Born December 12, 1949 in Aiken, SC, he was the only child of the late James Cornwell Rodgers and Myrtle Lee Key Rodgers.
He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a Vietnam Era Veteran, having spent time in Panama and served on the USS John F. Kennedy. He retired from the Warrenville Post Office. Over the years, he was involved in several retail businesses and was very active with the Boy Scouts, Troop #115.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 44 years; his children, Chad Saunders, Aiken, SC and Alan Rodgers, Arvada, CO; his faithful companion of 14 years, "Mack"; his 102 yr old aunt, Eletha Crabtree, Aiken, SC; and numerous cousins.
The family will receive friends, Tuesday, September 14, 2021 from 5-7PM at The Historic George Funeral Home, 211 Park Ave, SW, Aiken, SC 29801.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 11AM at Bethany Cemetery with Pastor John Carroll officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Roger's memory to the charity of your choice.
The Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave., SW, Aiken, SC 29801 (803.649.6234), has charge of arrangements.

Just found out. So very sorry. heart and prayers.. Roger always had a special place in my heart ! You may not remember that he gave me a power unit to take to Romania on a mission trip...
