Robert Williamson Obituary
AIKEN - ROBERT MICHAEL WILLIAMSON, 55, beloved husband of Keri Vincent Williamson, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
A native and lifelong resident of Aiken County, Robert was a son of Lilly Gunter Williamson Boyd and the late Johnny V. Williamson. To Robert, family was everything and he was the happiest when they were all around. Robert was a 5th generation carpenter. He loved hunting, fishing and competitive shotgun shooting. He was a big fan of the classic TV show, "Gunsmoke". He also loved cooking...aka "experimenting" but everything always turned out sooo good.
Surviving, in addition to his wife Keri and his mother Lilly, include his children, Michael Williamson (Sierra), Samantha Williamson (Dalton), Elissa Williamson, Chelsea Youngblood (Ray), Toni Naillon (Brian), Jodi Wells and Ashley Reeves (William Sears), all of Aiken; grandchildren, Ethan Wells, Kane Wells, Kirk Wells, Braydon Byrd, Bryson Byrd, Anndee Lewis, Sterling Sears and Pappy's pride and joy, Ripp Youngblood; his sister, Susan Williamson Hood (Bruce); a half-brother, John Williamson and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Robert was preceded in death by a brother, James "Jimmy" Williamson, paternal grandparents, Quincy Olin Williamson and Cora Lee Leach Williamson; maternal grandparents, Robert W. Gunter, Sr. and Mary Pearl Stone Gunter; an uncle, Robert Gunter, Jr., and an aunt, Kathrine Whittle.
A graveside service will be held Saturday afternoon, September 4th at 4 o'clock in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 1720 Old 96 Indian Trail, Batesburg, SC with The Rev. Wes Holbrook officiating. Pallbearers will be Charlie Stanley, Jr., James Williams, Jeff Hudson, Jimmy Cumbee, Dalton Charnock, Ray Youngblood, Johnny Scott, Chad Kimbrell, Bruce Hood and Tim Chapman. Honorary Pallbearer will be Scott Vincent.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to his children, Samantha and Elissa's education fund at SouthState Bank, 1001 Pine Log Rd., Aiken, SC 29803.
