Robert H. "Bobby" Wilkins, Jr.
BEECH ISLAND, SC - Mr. Robert H. "Bobby" Wilkins, Jr., 77, entered into rest peacefully on Wednesday, February 3rd, 2016, with his loving wife of twenty-seven years, Mrs. Betty S. Wilkins, at his side.
Born in West Virginia, a son of the late Robert, Sr. and Ruth Gambill Wilkins, he had been a resident of Aiken County, SC, most of his life. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Wilkins retired from Kimberly Clark and later Kendrick's Paint and Body, rarely missing at day at either. He enjoyed fence building, lawn care, hanging out with his buddies at Hardees in Clearwater in the morning and NASCAR. Always pulling for the underdog.
In addition to his wife and parents, family members include his children, Kelly Partridge and her husband, Stephen, North Augusta, SC, Kristopher Angell and his wife, Shannon, North Augusta, SC, Robin Allen and her husband, Bill, Windsor, SC, Kim Waters and her husband, Kiley, Greenwood, SC, Karla Feagin and her husband, Brian, Warrenville, SC and Patricia Wilkins, Aiken, SC; siblings, John Wilkins, Conway, SC, Rick Wilkins, Charleston, SC, Pat Nester, Henderson, NV, Betty Flemming, Aiken, SC and Lucille Wright, Aiken, SC; brother-in-law's, Mike Sterling and his wife, Betty, Beech Island, SC and Lee Ivey, Graniteville, SC; grandchildren, Brooke, Fallyn, Bentley, Karson, Parker, Amanda, Jacob, Abigail, Audrey,
AnnaClaire, Chase, Chandler, Chaney and Taylor and let us not forget his best buddy, his dog, Bruster.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, February 7th, 2016, at 2 o'clock at Langley Pentecostal Holiness Church, Langley, SC, with Pastors Gene Brown and Stephen Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in the Historic Graniteville Cemetery, Graniteville, SC. Pallbearers will be Kristopher Angell, Stephen Partridge, Bill Allen, Brian Feagin, Kiley Waters and Michael Sterling.
Mr. Wilkins will be placed in the church at 1 o'clock on Sunday.
Due to the excellent care provided to Mr. Wilkins, the family has asked that if so desired, memorials be made to Regency Hospice. (www.regencyhospice.com)
