ROBERT STINNETT Obituary

STINNETT, ROBERT LYNN (BOBBY) - age 73, joined his heavenly family on May 29, 2014. He was preceded in death by parents, Howard and Nannabelle (Ledger) Stinnett. He was proud to be a veteran, where he served in the Air Force as a staff sergeant on a F-102 and in the McGhee Tyson Air National Guard as TSGT in the 134th Refueling Group. He was a member of Alcoa 25 Year Club. He attended and loved St. John UMC, where he served in many capacities. He was proudly a member of Maryville High School Class of 1959. Bobby was a person who everybody loved and he never met a stranger. He always had a smile and kind word to everyone he met. We were all made better people from knowing him. He also had a special love for children. He is survived by loving wife and best friend of 32 years, Kathy Wheeler Stinnett; daughter, Kim Stinnett Sneed and Melissa Correll; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Missy Stinnett. He was Pap to his loving grandchildren, Rebecca Sneed and AJ Smith, Robby (Caitlin) Sneed, Meghan (Darwin) Oliva, Daniel Hibbert, and Kayla Clifton; also two great grandchildren, Joe and Rylei Sneed; brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Shirley Stinnett; nieces, nephews, aunt and uncles, cousins, neighbors; best friends, Larry Cupp, Jim Huffstetler, and Don Hurst; sister-in-law, Becky and Don Harrill; puppies, Jake and Ebby. We can never express our love and gratitude to the entire staff at BMH. They supported and loved our family during our 55 day journey. We will have a celebration of Bobby's life on Monday, June 9, 2014, at 6:00 p.m., and receiving of friends from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m., at St. John United Methodist Church with the Reverend Bill Shelton officiating.
