Robert Petrulovich Obituary
AIKEN - Robert Franklin Petrulovich, 83, widower of the late Sarah Elaine Petrulovich, passed away on Friday, July 19th, 2024, at his residence following a brave struggle with cancer.
Mr. Petrulovich was born on Monday, January 20th, 1941, in Weirton (Hollidays Cove), West Virginia a son of the late Adam & Mary Lukovicky Petrulovich. He was a retired Vice-President and Manager at The Bank of Weirton/WesBanco. Robert was a proud United States Navy Submariner Veteran. In West Virgina, he was a member of The Loyal Order of Moose Fraternity. He was an avid golfer for his entire life. He loved not only to play, but to also follow and watch his grandsons play college golf at their respective schools. After moving to Aiken, SC, he worked at Aiken Golf Club as a Greens Keeper and at the Carolina Golf Range. He will be remembered for his hard work, dedication, and love for his family.
Robert is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Nanci Lee and Brian Carter of Aiken; 2 grandsons, Jake Edison Carter and Chad Thomas (Leigh Ann) Carter; and 1 great-granddaughter, Sullivan Hayes Carter.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Petrulovich was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Helen Petrulovich and Priscilla Thomas; and a brother, Adam Adams.
Memorials services will be held on August 24, 2024 at 11:00am at St James Lutheran Church, officiated by the Rev. Fred Klinker.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. James Lutheran Church, 200 Laurel Drive, Graniteville, SC, 29829.
The Historic George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave, Aiken, SC 29801 (803) 649-6234 has charge of arrangements.

Dear family and friends of Robert,
On behalf of the United States Submarine Veterans, we offer our sincere condolences at Robert´s passing. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We are always saddened whenever a fellow "Bubblehead" departs on Eternal Patrol. He served with honor on the USS Argonaut SS-475 and USS Sea Leopard SS-483 as a Torpedoman.
To our "Brother-of-the-Phin" we say, "Sailor, rest your oar. We have the watch. Fair Winds and Following Seas." Thank you for your service to our country.

Family, I knew Bob & your mom through my husband, Chuck. They worked both at AGC and driving range and were friends. I moved from Aiken back to Ohio and a gracious friend notified me of Bob's passing. Bob was a delightful gentleman, and fun, always with a smile. May God bless you abundantly during this time of loss and rest in the assurance of God's saving grace.

Nanci & Family,
Your Dad & I have been friends for 30+ years and my heart is shattered with his passing. I met him at The Bank of Weirton when I first started working for an accountant in Weirton and handled the banking. When my home caught fire, 7 years ago he and your Mom sent me a note to let me know they were praying for me and when he visited home 3 years ago I was able to see him after many many years. I'm so glad he made the trip when he did. We would chat on the phone and try to solve the problems of the world, which we were not very successful at, we shared the same birthday & we talked about what was happening with him but I don't think he told me everything. I always kept him in my prayers and I prayed so hard for a miracle but I guess a miracle was not meant to be. I will continue to pray for him and you as well. You all have my deepest sympathies. Please stay in touch. God bless all of you at this very difficult time.
