Mr. Eric Scott Johns age 54 of Crump Creek Rd. Blairsville passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday August 26, 2025 following a brief illness. Mr. Johns was born on November 21, 1970 in Syracuse, NY., the son of the late Thomas Scott Johns and the late Suzanne Patterson Johns. Eric was an avid golfer, loved cooking, baking, playing the drums and guitar and loved all animals. He especially loved taking walks at Meeks Park. He was a loving father, brother and nephew. He loved the Lord, his Pastor and church family. Eric attended the World Harvest Church.
Surviving Mr. Johns are one son and daughter in law, Nathan and Shannon Johns of Bridgeport, NY., one brother, Miles Johns, aunts and uncle, Nancy Mesko of Blairsville, Sandy Johns of Syracuse, NY., Jille Patterson of NY., Douglas and Carol Patterson of Walhalla, SC., a close friend, Holly Swanson of Hickory, NC., many other relatives and friends also survive.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the World Harvest Church. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Union County Humane Society Mtn. Shelter in Mr. Johns memory.
