Riley Herron Obituary

Mr. Riley K. Herron, 60, beloved husband of Mrs. Robin Fields Herron, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. The family will greet friends on Saturday, September 13, 2025, beginning at 11 AM at Harvest Baptist Church, Aiken, SC, followed by a Celebration of Life service at noon in the church sanctuary with Rev. Glen Davis and Rev. David Golding officiating. Riley was preceded in death by his father, Elbert Riley Herron, Jr., and paternal grandparents, Elbert R. Herron, Sr., and Evelyn Eubanks Herron, his maternal grandparents, John L. Key and Carrie Sizemore Key, uncle Larry Herron, and uncle and aunt, Jake and Carol Brown. Left to cherish Riley's memory with his wife Robin are his mother and stepfather, Shirley Key Herron Merideth (Larry); his beloved grandsons, Jorge Negrete and Christian Negrete; stepbrothers, Michael Merideth and Mark Merideth; a cousin who was like a brother, Johnny Brown (Velma); his beloved mother-in-law, Lillian Fields, many aunts, uncles, and cousins, and his much loved fur baby, Bella. Riley was born in Aiken, South Carolina. He worked as an industrial fitter. He was a dedicated member of Harvest Baptist Church in Aiken, SC, and loved his church family deeply. He was a knife collector and enjoyed working with old cars, but he especially loved the time spent with his grandsons; they were his world.
