Richard Frederick Weldon
BELLE MEAD, N.J. - Richard Frederick Weldon, 89, of Belle Mead, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at home with family around him. Born in Newark, New Jersey to Ruth and Fred Weldon, he lived many wonderful years in New Jersey and South Carolina.
Richard (Dick) is survived by his wife of 65 yrs, Stephanie, daughter Malinda Strauss, son Greg Weldon, daughter in law Jill, and loving grandchildren Gregory and Tyler Strauss and Logan and Spencer Weldon. He was predeceased by daughter Suzanne and son R. Geoffrey.
Dick, a 1952 graduate of Colgate University, spent most of his professional life as an executive at Johnson & Johnson, traveling the world in support of J&J's global business expansion, a job and company he truly loved. Prior to attending college, Dick was a proud U.S. Marine. Upon his retirement, Dick enjoyed time with family and friends at the Jersey Shore (Manasquan) and then moving to Aiken, SC where he and Stevie fell in love with the southern charm and culture.
As all who knew Dick, knew how much he loved to laugh, sing and bring life to a party. We will miss his sense of humor and his love for life.

Private services and burial will be held. Arrangements were under direction of the Hillsborough Funeral Home.
Donations may be made in Dick's memory for the purchase of a new mobile soup kitchen for the Samaritan Homeless Interim Program. This food truck will help the many homeless in our neighboring communities.
