Richard Turner Obituary

Mr. Richard Edward Turner, 88, of Windsor, SC, husband of the late Ruth Abney Turner, entered into rest on Sunday afternoon, September 28, 2025, following a brief illness. A lifelong area resident, he was the son of the late Noah and Ardin Turner. Richard retired from the City of Aiken after serving for forty-two years. He was a member of the Golden Hope Fellowship. Richard enjoyed minor engine repair. Never wanting to sit "idle", following his retirement from the City of Aiken, he went to work with Weeks Farm and Garden, repairing small engines. He retired for the second time at the age of eighty-seven. Richard's memory will be cherished by his sons, Joey Turner and Tony Lee Turner, siblings (names), five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, as well as other relatives, friends, and his church family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 5 o'clock at the Golden Hope Fellowship, Beech Island, SC. Pastor Ausencio Acosta will officiate.
