Richard Postles Obituary

Mr. Richard "Dick" Lindale Postles, 89, of Aiken, SC, husband of nearly sixty-five years to Diana Elaine Kling Postles, entered into rest on Monday, July 7, 2025. Born in West Chester, PA, a son of the late Ermon Messick and Verna Lindale Postles, Dick was raised in West Chester, PA and graduated from Haddonfield High School. Education was a top priority of Dick's. He continued his education by obtaining a Chemistry degree from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA and later received his Master's degree in Statistics from the University of Delaware. 1st Lt. Postles served his country with honor and pride in the United States Airforce as a Meteorologist. A former resident of Amherst, VA he came to the CSRA in 1980. He retired from the former E.I. DuPont Company and later Westinghouse where he was a Statistician. Dick enjoyed cooking, gardening, woodworking, music, sports and his family. Along with his wife, Dick is survived by his children, Laura Postles Haffly (James) and Richard Larry (Felicia R.) Postles and grandchildren, Kip Smith, Dakota Postles and Madison Doolittle (fiance' Davidson Lynn). In honoring his wishes, Dick will be cremated and the family will hold a private Celebration of Life Service.
