Richard Mishler Obituary
BELVEDERE, SC - Funeral Services for Mr. Richard A. Mishler, 74, of Oakdale Avenue, Belvedere, SC, who entered into rest February 25, 2016, will be conducted Monday morning at 11 o'clock from the Posey Funeral Chapel. Reverend John Meyer officiating. Interment in Aiken Memorial Park with Full Military Honors.
Mr. Mishler was a native of Zanesville, Indiana, having made Belvedere his home for the past 36 years. He attended Belvedere First Baptist Church where he was a member of the Victory Sunday School Class. Mr. Mishler was a Viet Nam Veteran having retired from the US Army as a Sargent First Class with 20 years of service and also retired from Solvay as a E&I Technician. He was a member of The American Legion Jesse C. Lynch Memorial Post #71 and the SMART Camping Group. He was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Goodridge.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Jessie Mishler; a daughter and son-in-law, Janice Dale and Wayne Duke, North Augusta; three grandchildren, Carissa Sanders, Corri Duke and Michael Goodridge; three great grandchildren; a son-in-law, Kenny Goodridge, North Augusta; his mother, Wilma Mishler, Ellerslie, GA; a sister, Carolyn (John) Springer, Ellerslie, GA.
Honorary Pallbearers will be members of The American Legion Jesse C. Lynch Memorial Post #71.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 4 until 6.

Jessie & Carolyn, so sad to hear of Dick's passing. We're told that "The unforgettable memories of an individual is the result of his character". Dick left us with so many great memories from grade school, high school school alumni gatherings as well as casual get-togethers over the past few years. Our prayers are with you and your family.

Hi Jessie. I just got the phone call about Dick and wanted to tell you how sorry I am. I know you two were made for each other and I want to offer you my sympathies. Even though the children didn't know him they want to come to the funeral to say goodbye to their grandfather so we shall see you in a couple of days. May God bless you and give you peace. Sorry to hear Mish passed. We were stationed together in the 440th Signal Battalion back in the 1960's. I ran into him again following the Estate sales around Augusta, Ga. Really liked Mish.
