Richard Horne Obituary
AIKEN, SC - Richard Raymond Horne, age 51, from Aiken, S.C., husband of Cynthia "Cyndi" Son Horne and son of the late James W. Horne, Sr. and the late Rosa Pilot Horne, entered into rest on Friday, November 28, 2014.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Stacy (Ike) Ford of Graniteville, S.C., Jessica (Micah) Swaney of Spartanburg, S.C. and Jennifer (Will) Lagerholm of Aiken, S.C.; sisters, Donna Morris of Langley, S.C. and Frances (William) Williams of Augusta, Ga.; brothers, James W. (Linda) Horne, Jr. of Texas, David (Tammy) Horne, Sr. of Gloverville, S.C., Dale Horne of Anderson, S.C. and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sisters, Laverne, Brenda and Janet.
He was born in Ft. Worth, Texas but has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County.
Up to his failing health, he was a commercial truck driver. He was a loving husband, daddy, Papa, brother and friend. He shall be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched during his lifetime; however, death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his family and loved ones.
A service, celebrating his life, will be held in the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Ken Garvin officiating. The interment will follow at Eastview Cemetery in Edgefield, S.C. His nephews will serve as Pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening, December lst from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Family and friends may also call at the daughter's (Stacy) residence in Graniteville.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Plaza, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
Napier Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Main Street, Graniteville, S.C. 29829 was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
